A Really Juicy Morsel...
The following is information about a breathing technique that I learned a few years ago at some random class that my girlfriend signed us both up for (The Art of Living). Although I found most of the class quite pretentious, some of the stuff I learned there was invaluable, specifically, the Sudarshan Kriya.
Basically, it is a special breathing technique, but if you follow it correctly the effects are quite amazing. It actually does drastically change the way that you are feeling. I've seen people laugh and cry after experiencing it. Personally, I get a buzzing feeling over my body and face, sorta like pins and needles, but pleasant.
Here's what the guy that developed that technique has to say, and following is a link to the wiki. (I plan on making a 'so' 'hum' tape(mp3, same thing) of my own soon, I asked for a copy from the guy teaching the class and he said that only trained people get to have it blah blah blah....anyway I'll post it here soon...)
"There is a rhythm in nature. Seasons come and go. In your own body also, there is a rhythm. Life has a particular rhythm. Similarly, your breath also goes in a pattern. Your emotions move in a particular rhythm, as well as your thoughts. All these rhythms arise from your being, which has its own rhythm.
"In Sudarshan Kriya, we get into the rhythm of our being and see how our being is permeating our emotions, our thoughts, our breath and our bodies. Soon, every cell of our body becomes alive and releases all the toxins and negative emotions it has stored from times past. Once again, we are able to smile from our hearts."
